Melissa and Nicholas got married on the beautiful Pigeon Island off Rodney Bay in St. Lucia. Jonah and Simon were page boys and Jonah did very well walking down the sand in the wedding. The whole wedding was perfect from start to finish. The ceremony was in a stunning location and then a catamaran took the almost-100 guests across Rodney Bay to a restaurant in the marina for the reception. With breathtaking tropical island views at every turn, it’s hard to not to have an incredible day. 99% of the guests were relatives. The bride’s family are a vast network of first, second and third-generation Indo-Fijians who live all over the world- mostly England, US and Canada. The groom’s family are a vast network of first, second and third-generation Jamaicans who live all over the world- mostly England, US and Canada. It was so special to be a part of these cultures and what amounted to an amazing family reunion for so many and a wedding filled with so much warmth and heart. Also, I got my life-long wish of seeing some Bollywood dancing at a wedding. Next goal is to wear a sari.
