    Yes, this very graphically illustrates what could be your reaction would be to discovering that we in this country do not have a big ‘thanksgiving’ holiday. We do have a tradition of thanksgiving to a completed harvest though, and this is the yearly ‘harvest festival’ held in most churches. I just think that this old English tradition has just subtly change over the 2 centuries of our parallel development. Google harvest festival to find out.
