wait, nothing. I didn’t even get a t-shirt.
So Bryan was in NYC for four days over the weekend, mainly to see a Jets game with his friends in the last year the team will play in Giants Stadium (and the last year Bryan’s family will have their sick season tickets). It coincided with the world’s craziest Halloween parade- the one in the Village there.
I stayed in London and saw friends and contemplated how hard it would be to be a single parent. Not even just missing the extra pair of hands and all the attenuating baby and non-baby tasks those hands could accomplish… but missing having that person around that shares in the small and big feats and laughs at what’s funny and commiserates at what’s not. We were glad he came back. After a Halloween party filled with cute roller derby chicks, it wasn’t a given.

I’m embarassed to ask the following, but Brian’s the 3rd guy I know who dressed as “that” for halloween and yet I don’t know what their costume is! Please tell me the pop culture reference I’m very obviosuly (and ashamedly) missing?

mortified that the answer could be summed up with one link to a movie everyone talks about that I haven’t managed to see yet. Sigh.

Well, they’re missing a few key elements (eg, a tiger, Mike Tyson, some paunch on Bryan)… so you can both be forgiven.

i saw the movie but never would have guessed that was what his costume was referencing. i like the 3 men and a baby … that would actually have made me laugh harder. i thought that he was just being himself- a new dad.
